Is not common an innocuous guest in the surrealist canvas: women presence is strong and significant, because in them is concentrated the original reflections about life and death (in this sense Magritte is exceptional), that seems to me the women of Roque: sinuous, provocative presence and more over, quiet. Perforating the canvas with a nature, that immediately redeems them from the moment that appears to be malicious.

Also for this, they are innocent and their erotic burden is neither of perdition nor misleading, is of salvation and life. When the fine art by Roque, extends through his acrylics over and over its chromatic glaze, achieves very singular results in this difficult and not common technique.

The intention towards the technique is fundamental for Roque. Because never than ever in this Mexican artist, the expressive means are a whole with the will to express and give a meaning. His international language is a whole that communicates in the codified environments of the work pope and hyper – realistic to arrive with healthy Mannerism that continue reminding us the most ancient decoration of Mexican painting.
